NEW SERVICE LAUNCHED FOR INDEPENDENTLY LIVING SENIORS
October 9, 2008

NASHUA, NH--A new service aimed at assisting senior citizens with maintaining their independence has opened in Nashua.

The Village Network, Inc. is an organization that provides referrals and support for older adults who wish to maintain their independent lifestyles, but who need assistance with day-to-day living arrangements, such as transportation, housekeeping, grocery shopping, household repairs, computer assistance, financial record keeping, and other types of support.

The organization operates by annual membership. Members, who must be at least 50 years old, are given access to a pre-approved list of authorized companies which provide services at a discount to Village Network members. These companies have been screened by Village Network staff and certified as reliable and trustworthy. Members have a contact at Village Network who assists with identifying needs and connecting members with local vendors who can support them.

"The Village Network is an exciting new support option for people who want to remain in their homes and live independently as they grow older," explains Jebb Curelop, Village Network CEO. "As our population ages, more people want to continue living on their own, with a great quality of life. Our goal is to facilitate that for our members."

For an annual fee of $350 for an individual, or $500 for a household, the network assists with accessing service providers. Once referrals are made, members work directly with providers at a discounted rate of at least 10 percent off the providers? standard rates.

More information about The Village Network is available through its Web site, www.villagenetworkinc.com, or by calling 1-603-891-0008.
